Welcome to the crap show which is dealing with FCA! My infotainment system has been glitching for 3 months now, backup camera staying on while moving forward, sound going completely dead,camera juddering,loosing and not holding settings including proper time etc. Took it to the dealer while it was happening, service writer and tech both saw it as well as I took video expecting crud from FCA. Opened Star Case then FCA closed it without telling anyone. FCA refused to call the service dept back to tell them what they needed for radio replacement as the dealer can no longer just order new ones anymore, they have to have permission from FCA/Star.
Thankfully RamCares got involved finally and got FCA to actually call me. 2 months later Star says it needs a software update NOT a new radio head. After 3 hours at the dealer it was determined that Star didn't bother to check whether my truck was a DT or DS before telling the dealer to update, turns out the only update available is for a DS, naturally I've got a DT so it wouldn't install.
Waste of my and the dealers time. Dealer has done everything in their power to get this taken care of, sadly I can't say the same for Star/FCA.
Going on 3 months of being ****** around, truck is at dealership now evidently awaiting some magic Star fairy to swoop in and mind meld with it since they don't believe the tech and service writer nor my videos.
Sad way to do business...
