Ever notice how fat a cow gets by eating grass? They don't eat ANY fat or sugar. Feed lots give them corn and soy, which fattens them up much faster than grass will. The chemistry on just how the grass gets turned into fat is amazing.
So, you must be correct; an excess of any food might be the culprit.

But, they are ruminants with 4 stomachs, people aren't. Also, we can't digest grass (cellulose), Cows can. So, The Super Bowl is upon us! eh?
