After building countless lights on JJ's new site, I did just that. I plan on adding Morimotos down the line. But dont have the funds to do it just yet. Who thought summer camp would cost $975... Sheesh!

I have to give JJ credit though. These lights are a pain in the ass to open up. Took me almost an hour to get both of the lights open. Countless trips back and fourth between the oven (220 degrees) and the garage.

I used a red scotch brite to scuff the surface. Then DupliColors Self etching primer and Prep Wipes. I then used a gray scotch brite and light pressure to sand down the primer. Then hit it with the prep wipes. I used the primer instead of adhesion promoter only because I forgot to pick some up. And I had the primer on hand.

I then applied two light, and one heavy coat of Duplicolor Bright Silver Mica Part No. BCC0410, followed by five light coats of Duplicolor Clear Top Coat Part No. BCL0125. I then wet sanded the shrouds with 1200 grit. And hit them once more with clear.

I hit reflectors with four coats of VHT Night Shades, and four coats of clear.

This is how i drove to work this mourning. Started at 4pm, and went in at 2am. Went to work at 530am....

Thx guys. The color is actually pretty damn close to PS2; Not 100%. But closer than the pics make it seem. The lighting is clapping like crazy now. So the lights arent going back in til tomorrow or Tuesday. Cops around here aren't as bad as the cops in some of you guys' towns.

@Scott
I put the entire light in the oven (220 degrees), lens down on a thick towel on a cookie sheet. 15 min the first time. Pried a little, then decided the adhesive wasnt pliable enough. So back in the oven they went. They cooled for ten minutes, while I waited for the second set to come out. Then I put the first one back in for another 20 min. Then pried the clips with variable size flat head screw drivers, til I was able to pull it apart with my hands. Then I used a small flat head screw driver and a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the old adhesive out of the bucket. Thats it
