Is a CAI really worth it on a 2008 stock Hemi?

I looked at the factory setup and was thinking that not much could be gained by an aftermarket setup, am I completely wrong on this? What does one of the CAI kits offer that the stock setup is lacking? Typically on other cars it is easy to identify but I can't find one on the truck. Thanks

It can boost it by gaining airflow some range from 10-20 hp, you should look into that and an exhaust system.

More hp and tq gains along with a slight mpg gain. Sounds like a win win to me.

Check my vendor room. I have a sale on a few kits.

But can someone tell me what the design of the aftermarket setup does differently than the stocker? I looked at the stock one and it's intake is right behind the grill, straight into the filter, and into the intake. What about Volant, K&N, etc. is different that gives it the distinct 10-20 HP gains? I am trying to look at the design of them vs. the claimed gaines

And they are not claimed gains. They are tested and guaranteed. Look at any of there sites. They test them.

Just run like a 5 inch tube and get the cold air from the front to the cai... Problem solved

And never believe gains posted by manufacturers you will never see 20hp gain from just a cai. Maybe 5hp. Cai are more of a supporting mod. The restriction is the hemi hat. I have pictures on here I took after pulling the hat apart showing the channels and restrictions.

With a CAI you wont see much gains, but with that a exhaust, and a tuner, you will see lot more.

I had an 06 Hemi and a CAI made a world of difference, really opened it up. The 4th Gens stock intake is better than the 3rd Gens so not as much of a difference but definitely worth it.
