They make generators to do that.
Yrs ago ,I had a aftermarket remote start that could start the truck if the temp dropped too low, forget what, -20? The factory one now , it just starts when you push the button as far as I know.
Are you heating with electricity? Sounds expensive.
PS Turkeybird56, that is the same set up as the daughter has at her house, they have a sump pump that runs most of the time, so can't lose power. These run on Nat. Gas if you have it, the new ones can be controlled with a smart phone, I hear, but who runs the phone?
I just run a portable 5K, china generator, keeps the important stuff going ( my TV)
and the furnace, fridge, microwave, etc. Right now we are at -15 at 2pm
Only problem is pulling the rope, should have got electric starter, and keeping some gas on hand, thinking I should have a little value on the ram tank for a 1/4 inch hose.
