Is Uconnect bluetooth system contained in the radio unit?

Hi all, new member here. Just purchased a 2010 Ram with the Uconnect 130/RES radio system. It has bluetooth for phone calls but not for audio streaming. From my research online it appears that 2011 and newer models were able to stream audio. If I install a radio from a 2011 or newer model, will that do the trick? Just wanted to make sure the bluetooth hardware isn't separate from the radio unit itself.

Thanks!

The bluetooth hardware is built into the radio. The RER radios do not support A2DP Bluetooth Streaming. Only the RHR and RHB radios support A2DP Bluetooth Streaming Audio.

The Radio you are looking for is the RHR-730N MyGIG Uconnect radio. This radio has GPS by Navteq with North American maps. If you find one from a 2011 model it will plug-n-play to your truck as long as you get the GPS antenna and the Uconnect Jumper Cable. If you find one from a 2012-2013 model you will need the anti-theft code to operate the unit in your truck.

The RHR-730N radio has built-in Uconnect, A2DP for Bluetooth Streaming Audio, Sirius Radio, Sirius Traffic and Sirius Travel Link.
