Issues after 5.0 to 8.4 upgrade on 2014 Slt

Got my hands on a vp4 ca today and unfortunately its also out of a 2016. Swapped it in and have the same issues with it. It is also on v15.x. uconnect website says its also up to date. I've been trying to use various vin numbers from 2016 trucks I've found on auto trader and they always show them as up to date. I wonder if maybe they didn't update the Canadian versions

For anyone that cares.. updated to firmware v17 and everything works like a charm. It appears 2016 8.4s with v15 firmware don't like to play nice with older trucks.

They definitely do not but if you update the firmware they are usually fine. I put a 16 radio in my 14. It worked fine for quite a while and then started to glitch a lot. When they came out with the 17-xx-*** and up firmware all the glitches stopped.

Glad you got it working. How did you end up getting the firmware upgraded?

I found a link for the canadian 2016 vp4ca firmware on a 200c forum. Put it on a thumb drive. 30 min later all is good [emoji106]
