The original locking differential on Ram Heavy Duty is American Axle Manufacturing TracRite GT.
I have this on my truck. It is a torsen all gear differential, all mechanical. They also make electronic on demand lockers.

For the money it will cost you to fix everything if it breaks you will wish you got a Truetrac off the bat.
