Saw this deal on ebay...seems too good to pass up since my stock exhaust manifold bolts are broken. Do i have to cut and reweld my cats back on after the headers?
If i leave them off, do they sell a MIL eliminator that tricks the computer into thinking there are cats? Thanks in advance.

Save yourself a headache and buy their y pipe as well. You'll need a custom tune to turn off the CEL without cats

Headers go back way further then the stock setup so the y pipe is almost an absolute must unless you want to fab it all up yourself. As the other guy said a custom tune takes care of the cats being gone. I tried pricing out buying the parts to make my own y pipe and it was just as much as buying the right kit for the truck.

Do you not care about ceramic coating? Or are you going to do an aftermarket coating?

Yeah living in pa you’ll want ceramic coating. I tried painting my headers with the VHT paint and after winter they looked trashed

All of my turbo piping on my mustang was done by jett-Hot and it all rusted and chipped off after one winter in PA. I wasnt impressed to say the least.
I only drove the car once in the winter because my ram was down. No coating would help or last driving every day in the winter in PA.
Since the headers are a cheap stainless, they will just have a little surface rust, and you cant see the headers anyway.
