figured i would just start this thread, then update it as i "modified" it. instead of going my other route, which was starting a new thread showing just the new pics....forgive me, i have sinned..:birgits_tiredcoffee

lets start with the stock pics (with deezee chrome steps installed):

then came the k&n cold air kit:

first weekend of december, the mcgaughy deluxe kit (2/4) was installed:

then on xmas eve, the k&n was removed, and the vararam intake was installed. no pics yet, but working on it tomorrow...
i had also tried plasti-dipping the rims, but the first run didnt work out too well, so it was pulled off. might try it again in the spring...also, working on getting a mopar remote start installed, have it ordered from the dealer, currently awaiting its arrival....

unfortunately, my daughters still use them. its the only reason i installed the steps, they were having to climb in the truck.

thanks for all the kind words... pouring down rain today, so pics of vararam may have to wait until tomorrow.
but, good news, after driving around town to run errands the past few days, gas mileage did increase almost 2mpg with the vararam installed.

havent really been on open road to stomp on it.
living in smaller town, speed limit is 23-40mph, so for now, cant really say.

but i dont think there will be that big a difference. from the short drives ive had since saturday, they seem equivalent in power gains.
but i really like the looks of the vararam more than the k&n.

what % is it?

i dont know offhand. but the tint guy knew exactly what would match the rear... 25% possibly.
its not too dark, technically still illegal. but i will take my chances for now....hopefully wont get pulled by the po-po for speeding...:naughty:
