The other day I was out fooling around in my 13 Big Horn and tried to powerbrake. I turned the traction control off and held the brake and started pushing the go pedal. It was as if the engine would not rev up enough to get the tires spinning.. so my question is do these trucks have really good brakes or is there a safety feature that wont allow powerbraking?

Most modern vehicles have torque management. Plus I'm guessing you have 3.21s. A tune would help you a lot

My 3.21 with the 8 speed will turn them over. What truck do you have.

Definetly torque management.
Try jumping on the pedals (gas first lol) from like a .5 mph roll, you will get the hang of it real quick :p

Trick is to ease off the brake pedal so that you are only applying just enough pressure to keep the truck in place.

But, a tuner would also make things much easier on you. This video was with my truck being bone stock with just a set of 4.10 gears...

That's pretty good. Makes me want to try it out tomorrow.

My '13 Big Horn will eat my Mud Grapplers off if I held the brake long enough. I have 3.55s, no tune... yet.

You need to apply just a small amount of break, you need to have the front wheels moving just a little bit and you will smoke them. If the front wheels aren't moving the computer will kill the power.

Get a tune that almost completely eliminates traction control.

Same here, it would spin them but I am sure the 3.92's would have been a smoke show.

Mine is a 13 4 door big horn. Im assuming bone stock due to the fact that it was a former government contractor vehicle

My '13 with 3.55's has no issue roasting the tires off it. If someone wouldn't mind throwing $1500 my way for another set of mud tires, I'll happily post a video of it burning them till they blow :evillol:
