I tinted my whole windshield 35% and the stock lights are terrible even before the tint. I figured I’d get better bulbs for now to get me by and order hid kits. First night with the zxe and I’m not even going to bother gettings hids. 9012 heads and 9006 fogs, autozone shipped to house next day with their coupon it came out to 103.00. So if anyone is on the fence I think you won’t be disappointed. I did the job also in 5 min.

I've been running these on my lows and fogs until I can decide what I want for an upgrade.

Those are nice but it's still a 55w bulb. If you want a bit more lumen from a halogen you'll want Phillips 9011 / 9012. They are 65w and bit easier on the wallet. I tossed out my HID lows and LED fogs and went back to halogen. I didn't want to deal with replacing ballast's, or cooling fans going bad anymore... Plus if one goes out all I have to do is pull out a spare and pop it right in. I run 9011 lows/highs and 9012 fogs.

I respect your opinion, but its cheaper just to go to HID in the factory projector with MUCH better lighting. But if your happy, thats all that matters! Glad your happy with results!

Looks great. Thanks for the review. How'd you do it in 5 min? Don't you have to pull the grille? Pull the headlight housing, etc.? Yeah -- it doesn't look that difficult, but it could be much easier one would think.

Yea I totally agree with you on the angle that I didn’t want to deal with that crap either with the hids...... I will keep the philips in mind if one of these burn out and I gotta get a new set but I’m pretty happy with it now...... I actually see the road a whole lot better with my windshield being tinted and these new bulbs then before the tint and the oem lights lol

Let me clear that up slightly with the time it took..... 2 fogs were changed in less than 30 seconds lol and each light took about 5 minutes.... pull the little wheel well hatch to release the headlight retainer ..... 1 10mm bolt comes off with a wrench the other 10mm bolt down by the grill I took out with 2 extensions hooked up to a 3/8s wrench ..... change bulb and repeat ..... little trick putting that bolt back in get some electrical tape cover ur socket hole and press the bolt in the socket so it holds it as you bring it down to the mount to tighten it up. No grill removal needed ..... if you ever have a question cause your attempting to do this just message me and I’ll walk you through it

MR DREAM: Yes, the Sylvania's make a big difference. Just FWIW, the Sylvania's do have a nasty habit, if U drive a lot at night at not lasting more than a year, or less. So if U gonna keep running, U might wanna keep a headlight bulb around as a replacement, just saying....

Info: Since I now have a MY 19 with the OEM stationary LED's, they R like night and day compared to my stock Quads that were in MY 15 ED.

I’m very fortunate that my round trip to work is less than 10 miles round trip and I work 3-11 so I’m about 7 min a night..... if they burn out in less then 2 years I will try jrod’s Suggestion with Philips

For the record, the 65w Phillips are rated for 1000 hours. That’s not a very long bulb life, but like you I don’t do much night driving. So, they should last a few years. I’m guessing at least 4-5.
