All you need is a few free apps and an old smart phone. For this my main phone is a Z Flip 3. My leveling phone is my old Moto X.

First pair them using Bluetooth.

Then install Air Mirror on the main phone
and Air Droid on the leveling phone. Sign up or sign in and pair them as per the apps instructions.

After that install your preferred leveling app. I'm trying RV Level to start with.

Mirror the phones and start the app.

My plan is to put the leveling phone in the trailer, probably on the counter, when I get to the site. Then side to side level as I usually do from the truck driving up on my leveling ramps and then continue on with the rest of my level and set up routine.

I know this isn't as good as LevelMatePRO but considering it's free, it's worth trying. I tested it a few minutes ago out front of my house and it works. Bluetooth range is more than enough. Mirror changes in real time. Almost no delay. And if i don't like the leveling app, I'll just download another one. I got this idea from an RV forum.

EDIT: Air Droid doesn't with with Bluetooth alone. I didn't know that. It needs a network. I may be able to share my data with my old phone, either that or find a mirroring app that only needs Bluetooth. I'll let you know if it works.

EDIT #2: It works. Just turn on my mobile hot spot and connect the Moto X. Now as long as there's no trial period limiting my use of Air Droid, I'm set. Just in case I'm going to look for another mirroring app. This may be trial and error but at least I know it's doable. Now to tweak it with the right apps. I'll post any app updates here.

Cool idea. I had thought about buying a unit like the digi-pas smart cube level and then using app on my phone, but using one of my old phones is free.

Yep, considering I only use it 7 or 8 times a year it's hard for me to justify $150 for the Levelmate. And the cheaper ones are getting bad reviews. Since this was free I had nothing to lose and it worked. It's much easier to use the drive up levelers now. I usually go ahead of my wife and set up so I'm there alone at first.

That Digi-pas looks nice and it's cheap. That would be a good second choice. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
