Just purchased - 2014 2500 6.4/BAP

Hey guys, new here (1st post). Purchased a '14 2500 4WD CC yesterday with the 6.4 in the Black Appearance Package. So far I'm loving the truck. The rear coil setup, while still firm, is a noticeable improvement over the leafs. The 6.4 is giving me 13 around town so far (only 130 on the odometer). My only complaint over the 5.7s I drove is the huge ROAR of the 6.4...its loud...but not sure thats even a complaint really. Ill post more when I've had it on the highway a bit and towed.

I wonder if your fan clutch is acting a fool?
I had issues with mine on my 5.7 when it was new.

The fan? Really, what is it with RAM still putting those pulley fans?

GM has been putting electric fans on their trucks since 2005

I can't wait to see this ! I wanna test drive a 6.4L so bad. There are 4 RAM Dealers within 20 miles of my house, and no one has one yet... Congrats on the buy !!!!

I got mine in and love it. I had a 2014 Ram 2500 4X4 Crew Cab with the cummins and I think the 6.4 has a lot more get up and go... I blew the doors off of a Ford with the 6.2. Lol.

What rear end do you have? And which model BAP did you get? Big Horn, Laramie...

I drove BAP Big Horn 6.4 with 3.73 and it also had a very loud fan until the truck was at operating temperature. I plan to order one with 4.10 rear once the rear air suspension is available.

I have the 3.73 gears. And I have the tradesman. I just got a black truck. Not the BAP. Couldn't see any reason to pay to have blacked out stuff.
