Anyone tried one of these on their Hemi?
I had 1 I ran on 3 different Harleys, for over 100,000 miles. The Last one being a $15,000 124" performance engine.
Was super convenient and it was nice to see what was going on in the filter.

I also ran one on 2 different twin cam harleys for about the same miles and both were modified. I used to send oil samples in and always got good results back so it was filtering well. If I could get one for cheap I might but ultimately it is a lot money and you can buy a lot of OEM filters for the money. On the harley you could see it so it was cool but on my hemi it is hidden. I met the designer in Sturgis one year and was a cool guy to talk to.

Looks like it makes it a replaceable cartridge filter?

Are there any specs on filtration?
Per K&P web site: { The medical grade stainless steel cloth that we use is consistent across the entire media surface and is rated at 35 microns, meaning nothing larger than 35 microns should pass through the material. The bottom line is we meet or exceed the filtration performance of OEM filters, eliminating any warranty issues.} Based on this I would not use it on any of my engines unless it was an emergency...

Right. 35 micron is roughly one and a half thousandths, that'll pretty much fill the oil clearance in your rod and main bearings.

Plus, who really wants to clean their oil filter? A neat idea for sure, but not a daily driver type thing.

They "say" 35 microns, but the filters below were actually tested. Maybe some day when mad max reigns these things will be the bees knees, but I don't see the attraction for a hemi. At 20 microns the two top choices on ram forum are perfect. Cost is too high, micron rating is sub standard, so the only argument left is "flow". With everything said if the flow better their still can be at least an argument to run them. But with out a filter test with a lab, why go farther with the discussion? I think it is cool tech, and I would like to see more facts and tests. But I'm not big on feelings, show me some paper work. Now, if not for spun microglass and other synthetic options, wouldn't you guys rather run this over paper assuming the flow kept tick away? Because I certainly would, but I think spun glass is here to stay.

I can buy a Mopar branded oil filter for my truck that is 30 micron, a Fleetguard that is 20 Microns, I'm lucky I still have several of my Donaldson filters left over from my 5.9 CTD that are 15 micron and they will work just fine for my current 6.7 CTD :)
