Anyone done any cover up to the tacky silver key hole on drivers side? Wondering if there’s any covers or mods that can make it less of an eye-sore.

I’ve also seen that thieves can drill out the key hole a certain way... Any mods to alter/remove said key hole?

I haven't heard anything about a cover-up yet, but I'm interested in what others would say.

If a thief wants your truck bad enough, they'll get it with or without a fancy key hole. I don't think it'll make much of a difference regardless of what you do with that piece. Just look at the you-tube channel "The Lock-Picking Lawyer", that guy can open any sort of lock out there.

I like the key hole there just in case the battery dies and I need to use the old school key to get in my truck. Personally I wish they put one on the passengers door handle. But to each their own[emoji106]

Yea I was thinking maybe just some black vinyl at least would look better than the silver.. Had a Camaro that used to have a plastic cover that goes on top of the key hole. I’d be more than happy to purchase some form of cover if one existed hah.

Agreed. I’ve already had a break in on this truck. But it’s pretty simple to drill keyhole and get inside apparently. Figured if it’s out of sight, may be out of mind to them.

You know I’ve never heard about that guys channel before, super cool tricks!!!! Gonna check out all his vids.

And I agree, after all mods I did to Camaro years ago, it was pretty often I had a dead battery and NEEDED that key hole. Just figured maybe there’s a solution to cover it up a bit. Guess we’ll see if anyone chimes in with solution.

I have a great fix for you!!! Buy a bright Silver Ram the key hole is barely noticeable. I didn’t know I even had one till your post . LOL

I was just thinking about this the other day, might try something with touch up paint. Probably just a thin piece of plastic cut with the right hole saw and use adhesive

Haha doesn’t fit the RAM? I’ve found a couple select companies that make em for specific cars, but not sure about compatibility.
