So, I got this truck 4 months ago and have put 2,000mils on it. I work all week and only get to enjoy it on the weekends. Over the last couple weeks it has locked the key in the ignition more than once. I have to restart the truck drive it and then shut it off again. This started after i received an error 32767 on my head unit. Any ideas? the dealer can not get the problem to happen for them.

Of course they tell me "your probably forgetting to put it in park, make sure the selection says Park" :flipthebird: If it wasnt in park the center dash turns red and clearly says "vehicle not in park":whymewhyme:

Thanks,

Truck is a 2013, SLT, Crew Cab.

The only time I've ever had this issue is when I tried to turn off the truck before putting it in park. Even after putting it in park with the key still in, I have to crank the engine and then shut it off before I can get the key out.

it's under warranty, let the dealer fix it. Make it happen for them.

Sounds weird but my Nissan Titan key would get stuck in the ignition when the battery was going bad.

I've had my key stuck several times in my '09 when I had a low or dead battery.

Truck battey. These new cars hate low voltage.. :(

Correct, truck battery. If it's in the ignition it doesn't need a fob battery as the fob battery is only to operate the buttons, not the ID chip which is why you have a spare internal key to open the doors but can still start the vehicle if the fob battery is dead.

Mine has done the same thing but was always remedied by making sure it was all the way in park and the shift lever has gone forward toward the dash. Sometimes putting it in park it kind of hangs and didn't go forward.
