2006 ram 1500.
Keys battery are good. Replaced both ignition switch and ignition lock tumbler(self program dorman) same symptoms occur.
If I turn key to on position on first attempt to start it will not crank(gauges work). I then have to turn key to off position then cycle to start again immediately and it’ll start. A while back the battery on key died and was unable to program the key(only had 1). I had an extra key programmed at home depot(was cheaper than dealer) but it’s just a generic key. Keyless entry on key does not work. Just for ignition. Anyway to test if immobilizer is faulty? My pioneer AVH-4400 screen only displays when I cycle key on then turn off. It’ll work via Bluetooth when driving but screen won’t display. Firmware is up to date. Tried rebooting it and still.
