The glue in the SL03 is supposed to be a better quality and properly spec'd to handle the temps that the board is putting off. I guess time will tell if it holds, but it's definitely an improvement from the SL02 version. Never thought about the 12v fan idea, but it certainly couldn't hurt. I'm surprised that knowing how hot these units run they didn't incorporate one versus just the heat sink.

Actually the fan idea wasn't my idea,i copied it from a thread on here a couple years back.I forget who had the idea now though,but if you go digging you'll find the thread,i just adapted it to a Challenger instead of a truck
