Leaking a gallon of water per day

My '02 1500 lost all it's water a couple of weeks ago. We filled the radiator back up, and it started blowing thick white smoke from the tailpipes. The day after and everyday since, I have to add a gallon of water to the reservoir and notice it leaking, but I can't tell from where. We did a pressure test on it, but it didn't lose any pressure. Yet, I lose a gallon of water everyday. During the day when I check the water level, it shows just under the fill line. I have not put any antifreeze back in it as I can't afford to refill a gallon per day, but winter is coming! Someone please offer some suggestions on what to check!

Do you have any water/antifreeze in the oil???

My 03 5.7 does sort of the same thing but is not an issue. It is always low on coolant. Even if I fill it up within a day it will be slightly low. At this point I haven’t added any to the reservoir and it is barely above the bottom of the tank. I’ve never had any coolant in my oil though. These trucks just seem to eat a little bit of coolant somehow. That being said a gallon a day is not right. As stated, do you have any coolant in your oil? Could there be a crack in the coolant reservoir that you can’t see? I don’t know if this is even possible but could your radiator cap be bad or not tightened properly and your boiling some of the water out?

Sounds like head gasket to me

Thick white smoke usually means head gasket, like stated above.

Pull the oil dip stick and see if it looks milky, i agree, it sounds like a head gasket. The exhaust gas would also have a sweet smell if coolant is being burnt.
