2006 megacab 1500. My passenger headlight went out last week but the high beam still worked. Figured a bad element. Put in a pair of LEDs and the same thing happens. Did some research and figured the tipm could be bad. Also when you turn the truck on the driver side headlight blinks for 5 seconds then shuts off. But both high beams still work with the engine on.

Putting in the LEDs might have been opening a new can of worms before correcting the existing problem, which might still be a burnt out bulb. Using an ohm meter, make sure you have the correct power to the sockets, even if you have to use the old bulbs to do it. Once you figure out whether you have the correct power in the sockets, then proceed with the LEDs. Good luck,
