Does anyone have any experience with running a strip of LED lights (I've got amber color in mind) above their running boards, and tying them in with the signal lights? I'd like to place them alongside the cab right on the bottom edge facing the running board and wiring them so that they stay illuminated while the rest of the lights are on and also that they flash accordingly with the left and right turn signal lights.
Has anyone done this, and if so, had any issues with the law or the installation itself? Louisiana laws on this don't necessarily forbid it, but there's always a couple LEOs that will nitpick on a bad day

Google recon big rig light bars. They are what you both want. When I get home I will post up some pics.

Functions as running and turn signal lights.

I was going to take the more wallet friendly route and hit up autozone for their economically priced ones lol. I'll still check out the other ones

Pictures of them on older trucks.

Bingo! I like it already.
But my project just got pushed back a ways, got to buy tires so the breathing room I though I had on this paycheck just went down the pooper

15 meter spool of continuous amber 5050 LED, full sealed and waterproof with 3M adhesive on back. 15 min job including tapping into the stostock wiring. Cost is about 15$ a spool and can be cut to length.

How did you hook it into your truck. Through the fuse panel? What are the connections like (they don't say on their site)? Did you buy separate connectors and splice them to go to each side of the vehicle?
