LED Switch Backs

Hello,

I am a bit confused on the switchbacks for the DRL/Turn Signal. I have a 2013 with the projector lights. Can I just get the LED bulbs and replace the bulbs? Or do I need to buy the whole switchback assembly and take apart the headlight?

You need to get the Diode Dynamics switchback boards and replace the oem LED circuit boards inside the headlight assembly.

i've been thinking about doing this. Does anyone know if it's as easy as just pulling off the back of the projector housing? Or do you have to take the lens off the housing to get to the LED panel?

You have to bake the headlight open to do the swap, the boards are riveted in place so those need to be drilled out.

Yea, it's not difficult but I'm not sure where you find the LED switch backs to replace the OEMS with.

I know JJ does but I doubt he will give up his secret. lol

Yeah, if I remember right, I think that he said he's actually like down the street from them.
