LED Tail Lights

looks really good by the way... how hard was it to wire them up?

the tail lights were plug and play, but the 3rd brake light i had to cut the connector off and also cut the connector off the truck and splice the wires to make it work

when i don't have the parking lights or head lights on, only the two light bars closest to the tail gate light up..when the parking lights or head lights are on, they all light up like in the photo

Sweet! I've been contemplating gettin a set. I just have the covers over my OEM ones. But if I got some, I would smoke them... Are you goin to smoke yours?

the tail lights came to me already smoked, the 3rd brake light was clear so i just put some niteshades over it..or do you mean darken the tail lights like yours are? like tint them?

i don't know if i could ever trust myself haha..im sure it will cross my mind in the future...although if i ran some niteshades over them they would match the 3rd brake light..i think it would look pretty cool

I love led's, I have the 3rd brk light already. Prolly pick up a set some time. Led's are nice but sadly dealers frown at all the modifications we do to our trucks, come trade in time. I do not agree with this mindset but it does suck. You spend all this money and if it is not oem then it does little to the trucks value. I actually saw a dealer last year scouring a swap meet looking for oem tails to remove the mods and return too stock a truck(s) he was selling.
I love the look , op did a great job. I too will go the very same route some day, till then the dealers and there abstract way of thinking.

Gives the truck a whole new dimension! Nice pick up, shame about the 3rd brk light. I would hang on to the connectors. Ya never know.

yeah i stashed them in the box with the oem tails just in case i need them in the future for any reason

you know.............my 3rd on my 08 had that same connector. if you unplug the OEM 3rd, that new connector fits right in. Its been a while since I saw one (over a year), so I know I'm being a bit vague..........but - no cutting required.
