If you live in the US, DO NOT BUY A RAM THAT WAS MANUFACTURED IN CANADA!!!! Dodge and the local dealers will not help you if you have a problem! My Ram won’t take gas. I upgraded the fuel filler neck, replaced the evap canister and still won’t take guess. I saw there was a TSB for faulty gas tanks. Per Ram Customer Service, I paid the dealer to confirm it needed a new gas tank. 2019, out of warranty, but customer service/dealer help for the problem! Oh Wait, your truck was manufactured in Canada…. Sorry we can’t help you!!! Dealers shouldn’t be able sell Canadian vehicles if this is the case!!!!

I was looking for a particular boat back in 2017.i couldn't find it in Canada but did find one in Washington state, however, upon further research I found out that mercury would not honor the warranty if I Imported it back in to Canada.so i don't think it's just ram.

To be clear here you are referring to an original sold to market Canadian, so truck originated not just assembly plant/built in Canada, because it is two different things with built location and sold to market. Your build sheet or window sticker would indicate.
And yes, this has always been the case with a Canadian sold to market and used in the US, sure same holds true for other makes.
My last truck a 2015 was a true Canadian truck originally so lost out on a few aspects, but the cost savings was big considering and the Canadian trucks do not hold the same value in the us due to the warranty and other features like wifi, uc access, ota updates, xm traffic etc. One should not pay the same amount as a us market one fyi.

I'm confident there are likely other vehicle manufacturers that play this Warranty game, but there are exceptions.

Stellantis does make the facts clear, and there is an opportunity to register an out of country purchase in advance to preserve the warranty. I've heard mixed results on success with this process.

While it might be a crappy deal, it doesn't require much effort to discover. And, they have the same scam for Canadians buying a made for the US market truck.

BTW, my '21 Warlock made for the Canadian market was built in Michigan.
I'm not sure that any Ram trucks were ever made in Canada.

My last truck, an '07 Tundra was made in the US, for the US market. I bought it from a Canadian Toyota dealer, but with Toyota, AFAIK, they don't care or didn't before.
Warranty is warranty, including recalls.

My Tundra had dual citizenship. I had warranty repairs and extended warranty recall work completed in both Canada and the US.

I bought the truck used in '08 and both Canadian and a US dealers treated me as though I bought the truck from them.

Shame on any manufacturers that use this method to avoid the responsibility of paying out, but Stellantis isn't likely the only manufacturer who uses this process.

Why would anyone complain about published facts? Nothing better to do or just feeling butt sore after not investigating properly in the first place?

If one were to perform minimal research, they would learn about this feature, and they could gamble on registering with Stellantis to preserve the warranty or walk away.

I think my Canadian ram was built in mexico
Look at your Vin number, if the first number is a 1 or 5, it was built in the US: 2 Canada: 3 Mexico. I know there are some more, but Rams I believe ar either Michigan or Mexico, but I could be wrong on that.

This is a well known issue, nothing new. If you buy a Canadian truck (Not Canadian made, made for the Canadian market) in the US it has Zero warranty.

I would recommend checking your sales contract information. If the vehicle is not warranty because of Canadian manufacture, there may be a disclosure violation.

Also, on some vehicles a US purchaser can apply and obtain a US warranty if the vehicle in Canada was not commercial or government owned.

Don’t believe everything the OP says. My first Ram was born & lived its first life as a Canadian. Bought it in a Midwest dealership. All the problems were fixed with out difficulty.
