So I recently just got new headlights from Alpharex and I can’t seem to aim them the right way, every time I try, I either get it too high or too low. I want to see an example of how they are supposed to be aimed and aligned, really would appreciate it.

Here is before and after of the headlights, also wired up the DRL kit Alpharex gives you with the headlights and definitely makes a difference!

This was back in December, lol.

Does their kit only turn the DRLs on when in gear or all the time
The morimotos I got was all the time so I added two relays now they only work in gear

The following video is very informative and how I verified the aim of my Projector headlight housings after an LED bulb upgrade. It should be suitable for any style of headlights.

They only work when the ignition is on. The kit from Alpharex said to use the fuse for the sunroof but I didn’t risk it because I’ve heard some bad things about that from people who have a truck with a sunroof, and unfortunately mine does have a sunroof, so instead I wired it to the 12V DC fuse or “Cigarette Lighter” which is labeled in the fuse box. I don’t really care about having them on all the time, they are bright DRLs though and I’d bet the Morimotos are bright too. I like the Morimoto headlights, they are just way too out of my budget for me so Alpharex is the way to go.

I live in Canada so have DRLs that turns on high beam so I put a relay in with straight through to DRLs on each side and triggered with power from each park light to switch power to brights now DRL turns off with turn signals and works perfectly

It's possible to wire the headlight DRLs to the dedicated DRL outputs from the BCM. I did this on my '15 and the DRLs function like the factory, even drop out when the turn signals are on.

Not alpharex, but lights from Form. Shows how the cutoffs should be aligned. Top should line up with the top, bottoms with the bottom. Have found that I've needed to aim them lower than normal to minimize flashing from other vehicles.

I like to read forums and find posts that when they were written it made sense in the posters head but you go back does it really make that much sense now.

This for example is one that jumps out at me. Of course it’s always better when the top lines up with the top and the bottom with the bottom. If the top lined up with the bottom and the bottom lined up with the top it would be upside down or would it?

Thanks!
I ended up fixing my beam pattern by doing some measuring. First, I parked my truck as close as I can to my garage door, measured the height of the center of the projector, and put tape on my garage door, but I measured it about an inch lower because they are supposed to be aimed with a bit of a tilt down and not straight ahead, so that way my headlights won’t destroy peoples retinas during night. I tested it out last night while it was dark and for sure is a lot better, not too high but also not too low. I’ll show photos whenever I can.

This is an old thread but I just got the same Form headlights for my Ram. They are pretty good so far!
