Lets see those 1500's on 37's...I'm getting the itch to go bigger

A lot of people run 12 wides with 12.50 or 13.50” wide tires, it’s a stretched look.

I was looking at wheels online the other day and most of the new styles were either 20x9 or 20x12, they weren’t even offering a 20x10 in any bolt pattern, times change I guess.

Time does change my friend. Lol

I stepped up from 35x12.5 toyo MTs to the 37x12.5 Toyo RTs. Same weight and still a great tire.

What gearing do you have, is your truck sucking gas, slow pickup or is it same as factory? Thinking about going 37s everyone says makes truck lose power without stepping up gears...

Ok .. anyone with 37s that had to trim, can you please show exactly what had to be trimmed and how much ?

I want to go with -44 instead of -24 or -25 but I know there will be some trimming needed ... I have tried looking around on youtube but nothing really on 2018 ram 1500s that needed trimming for 37s

Great reference thread here and love all the pictures. I've been looking at 6" lifts but stuck on all the brands. I see rough country, zone, superlift, pro comp, FTS, fabtech, BDS and RBP. To much for my OCD brain, any help? thanks.

That looks sick!
Can u give me some info on the lift and rim size and did u have to do a lot of trimming?

RBP 87r 20x12 -44 Wheels
Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37"x12.5"

Suspension: Suspension Lift 7"

Suspension Details: MaxTrac 7" front and 4.5" rear Lift Kit with FOX Shocks and 1.5" Rear Coil Spacer.

Suspension Brand: Maxtrac

Rubbing: No rubbing or scrubbing

Trimming: Minor metal trimming

Trimming Details: Trimmed front plastic piece under bumper. Also trimmed the pinch weld and about and inch from the bottom corner of bumper. Also heat folded plastic guards by pinch weld.

Is that with 3.21s and if so how does it drive?

rwhjr, yes with the 3.21s right now ... it actually drives fine around town and on the highways ... I "DID" take a big hit on MPG down to 12.8 from 16.5-17.5 and yes the acceleration is down a bit too, but I will find out for sure if I will need or will want to regear after I come back to California from a road trip to Arizona from March 22th to March 28th ...

It's only $800 to regear at the same shop I had it lifted so I am almost positive I will just simply regear regardless .. but so far right now the truck runs fine with no problems ....plenty of power when those red lights turn green and if I want to pass someone up on the freeways I can do it without problem ...

If you have a 4x4 you can add some extra clearance with the bilsteins and you should be fine ....maybe just a bit of trimming but you will get it ...
