Alright, so im wanting to give my truck a nice stance ya know pick it up a little. And I have been looking at a leveling kit really hard that is a 3.5 in front and 3 in back. I have seen mixed opinions and wanted to see if that would be a bad idea and why?

It would be a bad idea if you’re looking to level your truck. Normally a level kit is about 2-2,5” in the front, since most trucks have about that amount of rake from factory.

Measure your distance from fender to top of the tire or to the ground and figure out what kind of leveling kit you need. Trucks tend to have different amounts of rake!

3.5 front and 3 back is not really a leveling kit. A leveling kit is just supposed to bring the front of the truck up to be even with the factory rear. They aren't really advertising that kit right. If that is a spacer kit, I would seriously avoid doing it on your 1500.

You can look into doing Bilstein adjustables at 2.8 in the front and then a small spacer or longer coils in the rear if you want more rear height. Or for 4 inches of height I would suggest saving up and getting a quality suspension lift kit like a BDS or Zone.

Yeah, I agree. You are really talking about lifting the truck at those heights vs. just leveling it which is a small spacer or adjustable shock installation

Any spacer kit for the front, you may as well do UCA's too. Definitely do yourself a favor and go with Bils. Cheaper in the end. No change in ride. Suspension lifts are awesome but you're gonna have over $2000 invested. IMO

Or, Rancho Quicklifts. It's a strut, so the spring and shock are designed to work together. Very happy with mine and install is ridiculously easy.

Rough Country 9232 - 2-inch Dodge Leveling Coil Springs| 09-18 RAM 1500 2WD. Has anyone had any experience with this leveling kit? I want to level my truck correctly without damaging the front end. Thanks!

I used to have the CST coil spacers when I only had my truck leveled (Still have them somewhere in my garage) but the truck rode great and did not have a negative effect on my front end suspension components.
