I have a 2005 ram 1500 2 door 2WD
What is the best leveling kit for the money?

Please post pictures if you have them to support it or just say what kind and what site to buy it from.

Thanks

I have a ReadyLift 2.5" level on my 2008. I have no problems or complaints to report, but looking back I probably paid too much. If I had to do it all over again i'd probably go with HBS (hell bent steel) or Rough Country, I believe they are a bit cheaper and just as good.

Here's a pic...

I am happy with my Rough Country 3 inch lift...It lifted it a little and leveled it out.

A 2.5" inch spacer (a spacer is a spacer buy cheap ones) and shocks for a 2500 (because they are longer than stock 1500 shocks). :) Cheap and effective. I got my Daystar spacers from PerformanceLists.com but I'm sure you can find them cheaper somewhere else. Looks like they have raised the prices recently.

Hey, new to this forum. My '07 1500 has 55k on it and it's about ready for shocks. Are Bilstein 5100's appropriate? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

On a 2003
A little clarity please, 2.5 or 3 " spacer and front shocks from a 2500 same year model, and alignment is all that I need?

I understand spindles are the best solution because they don't change the geometry, but I plan on doing those after income tax time. As far as the spacers and 2500 shocks go, it sounds fairly simple. Is it as simple as it seems or am I missing something?

And why is it harder to find 02-05 leveling kits versus 05+?

cause leveling kits for these trucks are just new torsion keys, which dont waste your money on them, just crank the stock torsion keys and use the money you saved for the alignment and shocks

:ryu-cvs-hadoken-a:

Doesn't cranking the keys down make the ride rally stiff?

Absolutely love my Bilstein 5100s on my truck! I put them at second from the top to leave a slight dip but looks pretty level to me.

Noticed you are from NY and my truck came from Albany area, if you are thinking of doing this yourself. Save the time, headache and cursing and take it to a shop for the fronts. I tried and about broke tools because the bolts were so seized up from all the winters and salt on the road.

If you got a blow torch, air tools and a lift, have fun!

Here is how my truck is currently sitting on 5100s with stock 20 rims and stock tires.

And then just crank the keys up front?

^ Yep. I did it on my 03 5 months ago. Then got an alignment.

Hey guys. Im new here, and to lifting a truck. Going to buy my '06 today. Looking into leveling the front. Found a good deal on some HBS spacers. What else do I need? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Have the truck now. Want to raise that front level! What all do I need to do so, besides the spacers... I see some sites say to get struts etc. Thanks again!
