Is the track bar absolutely necessary with the overland kit or would springs and shocks get the job done?
You most certainly can do just coils and shocks. The OEM trackbar is known to get worn out fairly quickly so some guys just do it all at once. I have the front trackbar and I didn't notice a humongous change. From what I hear though the rear trackbar is where it's at!

Personally I like the stock height w/35s. Looks a little more proportionate than with a level just my two cents. But you could always level it and get bigger tires later but I feel like of you do your gonna wish you had 37s...lol Pic of my rig when I had 35s and stock suspensiond50d06ebd70ca606eed98ecea18856d9.jpg1986de4b95fbd8a94b44250390441a6d.jpg

Thanks Maligator...that may be the route I go. Guys seem to have good luck with 37/12.50 BFG KO2s on stock suspension and wheels. An extra little height up front never hurts.

Yea, the power wagon track bar is already longer than a normal 2500 bar. You cant make an adjustable one any longer than the oem pw bar, unless you have bumpstop extension.

unless your bar is worn, you most likely wont see a huge improvement.

Just remember, its just ride height though.... the suspension still compresses to the factory bumpstop height.

Yep, Not alot of crazy off-roading for me and not much flexing at all. Most of my time off road is spent on a tractor seat or side by side doing chores. Truck 99% on road use. Nice to know the capability is there if needed though. The winch has bailed me out several times with hung up equipment.
