Hello guys,

Since joining the forum I have read quite a bit on leveling out he truck.

Correct me if I'm wrong:

There are two options:

1:lower the back
2: raise the front

I have always like the look of less wheel gap, so I'm leaning towards lowering the back.

What are the negative connotations with that rather than raising the front?

Also if you have done one or the other I would like a looksie!

Thanks fellas!

Messing with the back only is way more easy.
And - no wheel alignment is needed afterwards.
I would go with just lowering springs in the back.

Front suspension is a serious piece of work compared to the rear end.
I lifted my 2wd 1 Inch in the front which took me almost a day, some special tools and a wheel alignment afterwards.
I lifted the back 3/4 inch which took less than an hour.

Plus on the newer trucks the front level also requires new upper control arms with ball joint to prevent ball joint failure if my memory serves me correct

Depends on the amount of lift you add.
With just one inch like I did, it was enough to loosen the UCA mounting bolts, let the truck sit on its wheels after the lift and retighten the bolts.
That way I took the pressure off the UCA bushings and the ball joint.
The amount of travel is still like factory, so is the ride quality.

Does anyone have any photos of the front being stock height and the rear being lowered 2 inches?

I want to make sure i am not over lowering the rear!!

Thanks!

It won't change what you can tow but of course it will limit the amount of of droop before you hit your bumpstops. So really it depends on how much and how heavy. I did not lower mine but I have installed a HD air bag kit to keep me level when towing.
