I have a 98 ram 1500 its already lifted 8 inches I'm wanting to lift it 3 more inches to give my new Mickey Thompson Baja belted 39x18r15 some extra room but I think my velocity joint will hit I'm just wanting some tips on how to prevent this.

Some pics of the area ( and truck :D ) would be very useful. I run a 7" lift and I believe 39's could fit in but I'm just ruff balling on that.

If the truck only has a lift tere is some other things I would do before lifting it anymore
Pics would help
Body lift is really the only safe option without going for a different/bigger lift

Photobucket app works for me.

On the other hand you might have to go to a divorced transfer case to lower everything down. If your gonna do that might as well jump to a Rockwell axle.

That's pics of the new tires looks good but rubbed a little I cut a little off my finders and it don't rub now but the truck drives a lot worse it really gets to road walking but that's expected with that size tire but that extra lift would help give me more clearance but ill just have to make due for now.

Sorry to get back to you about the tcase so late, I don't get on a whole bunch these days. If you're looking to go huge (and since you've obviously exhausted your lift options) you need to look into divorced tcases like an atlas or scs gearbox. Their website is scsgearbox.com then you might as well get huge 2.5 or 5 ton axles as well or go to Dana 60 or 80 front and rear. All requiring major fabrication. Hope this can guide you in the right direction.
