Just recently put on a 6" RC lift on my 2010 Ram 1500 (4x4 Quad Cab). Issue I ran into is that the Fuel Krank Wheels (20x12 w/ -44 offset) has two valve stems. One on the outer lip and one on the inner lip. The second valve stem (inner lip) comes into contact with the tie rod end and gets pulled out. I installed some valve stem plugs to fix the issue but a secondary effect was that the TPMS that was mounted to that stem cannot be used. I have been told by the Mechanics that the TPMS cannot be used on the outer valve stem due to the way they are designed which does not make sense to me because the factory wheels valve stems are on the outside lip of the rim.

Link to valve stem plugs - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/gor-vs407c?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-gorilla-automotive&gclid=CjwKCAjw1KLkBRBZEiwARzyE71fZuNi8txmescTZJCDWpcqFxJfiBQzOU1ZsIOntwq77y9dneJnZIhoC8JgQAvD_BwE

Has anyone come across this problem and if so what was their fix? In closing if anyone is planning to use the RC lift kit, it does call for 20" wheel with a 5 1/2 inch back spacing on the wheel. I missed reading that piece of the info. If you have a 20x12 with -44 offset (specifically 20" wheels - like mine) you will more than likely run into the same issue if there is an inner and outer valve stem. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and for any assistance anyone can offer.

Picking up truck later today and will add pictures after.

I have been battling this for almost a year now trying to get my sensors to work. My tire place has looked at it as well as 2 ram dealers. They have replaced 2 of my sensors but all 4 read when they put their unit near the tire but the truck isnt reading any of them. My rims are also fuel rims, 20x10 with -12 offset and have the 2 different valve stem locations. The outer ones would also hit on mine and they have located them to the inside as well.

Really interested to see if anyone has a solution for this as well because it's really annoying to have a brand new truck ding at you everytime you get in it and flash the error message

It seems the issue is more related to the wheel having 2 valve stems than just tpms and lift. i have no idea how those Fuel wheels look like but have you just considered replacing the wheels for normal ones with one valve stem ? why would you need 2 of them ?

Anyone have an actual pic of these dual valve stem locations?

Looking at online pic I don’t see why that wouldn’t work

I have the Fuel Vapors, -44 offset on a 6" Procomp lift. See pic below. If I had the valve stem cap on the inner stem it would hit the tie rod. Been running these for about 6 months now and have not had a problem. Do you think if you removed the cap you might clear?

Good to know (your issue with your Fuel 20x10 -12 wheels) as I was just looking at a set of Fuel 20X10's myself. I think on key piece of information is the 5.5" back spacing. This issue has triggered some memories for me where when I originally got the wheels the Tire Shop put the sensors on the one on the face of the wheel. The system would read all but 1 wheel but I cannot seem to remember which one. I should have taken notes and put it with my Manuel like I do with all of my other receipts.

I don't think so, I thinks its a design issue with the lifted knuckle. I will put my truck on the lift tomorrow and take pics. Happy that your set up allows you to still use our TPMS. I have found some shorty stems in my quest to fix my issue. Will find the link and post it for you, in case your interested.

The second valve stem is on the back side of the wheel. Little piece of information left out by Fuel. It maybe a way for them to correct the TPMS not reading properly when mounted in its otherwise normal position. I am curious to know if the GM/Ford/Toyota ... truck owners have the same issue. Will take pics tomorrow and post.

Yes, please post the link to the shorty stems. I would prefer to have my caps on and although I haven't had any issues, it is too close for comfort.

I have not bothered to look into this, but I would think Fuel is aware of this issue and may even sell shorty stems, possibly recommended by them?????

I just bought some Fuel wheels, they are still in the box, they only have one valve stem hole towards the outside of the wheel lip 20x10 -18mm

Looking at the pics, will TPMS work on these?

Which rims did you get? My rims come in either -12 or -24 offset which I was gonna get. Discount tire talked me into -12 which makes me wonder if -24 would have worked better since it would have pushed the wheel about 3/8 of an inch further out. I'm not really sure, just my thinking for the 10" wide rims

Yes all tpms will work. They have enough angle to them that the tire will slide by easily and the tire will bead/seat properly.

Thanks, I never considered it to be an issue until this thread popped up, just thought I would ask before I have these mounted. Mine only have that one hole on the outer lip, I’ve never seen a wheel with dual holes like they have.

Mine would hit my tie rod end when installed on the inner lip. You could see on the cap where it was taking the plastic off. As stated above you might get away with not using the cap but that is too close to comfort for me. The beating on the tie rod end tho ruined the sensors so had to get new ones before putting in inside location. Truck wont read them in that location tho so idk

Wonder why it won’t read in the center location?

My XD wheels were close to the center and mine work fine (4.5 backspace)
