My dealer and discount tire both claim its because of my oversized 37" tires but I know @JB1 has 37s along with many others and have never heard of issues. Believe I even messaged you about a year ago @JB1 to see if you had ever heard of this and I was the only one back then that you had. Now the dealer says its cause their computer module they use doesnt go up to 37s but I tried to explain to them isnt that setting on their device for my speedometer because the sensors are for pressure. 40 psi is 40 psi no matter the size of tire so their device that pairs them to the truck should have nothing to do with tire size in my opinion

When I got my 37’s I bought new oem sensors and handed them to the discount tire counter man. He had a device and checked each one till it beeped and he said “ok these are good”. When they finished and backed out my truck the sensors weren’t set, but after driving for a few miles they all synced up automatically. I started just buying new sensors, you can buy them for about $20ea which is only about $5ea more than they charge for their TPMS rebuild kit (valve stem).

These are the part numbers I use for my 2017

68249197aa tpms sensor (includes stem)
68058766aa tpms rebuild (oem valve stem only for reusing oem TPMS)

I will look into that. My truck only had 4k miles on when it got lifted so the OEM sensors were still perfectly good so I had them.swapped over. They all beeped when they tested them and they told me same thing about driving it to sync them but they never did. That's when I took them back and they found the two front ones would no longer work because of hitting the tie rod. Discount tire was nice enough to give me two brand new ones on their dime and installed them in the other location. Ram dealers always say they wont work cause 2 of them arent OEM even tho discount tire proves they work. Maybe I will just bite the bullet and buy new OEM ones to see what happens

I still dont understand why the back ones dont read at all because they told me if one goes out the others will still read yet none of mine will sync to the truck

37's doesn't keep TPMS from working correctly. And if one sensor is bad the good sensors will still read pressure, but wont sync to the correct tires. When installing the tires they can ruin the sensors. So make sure they are checked once installed. As long as the aftermarkets are the right frequency and for our trucks they should work fine.

^^^ yuppp.. Had tires installed last year and drove away with TPMS not reading on driver front. Fast forward to present, never fixed it and after a couple tire rotations, tires locations don't read according to location of tire. Had to have a tpms valve stem fixed a couple weeks ago and they said the sensor was cracked. Ahh ha, now I know what happened when I had my tires replaced last year, they screwed up my sensor during the install.

They have looked at my tires several times and say that all the sensors are working just fine. The truck just isnt getting the signal :/
