Light Switch Controls

I am a new Ram 1500 owner. Love the truck so far, but the light switch that controls the headlights keeps moving from the auto setting to the lights on setting by itself. Anyone else having this problem?

odd issue for a brand new truck. I'd try the most simple thing first to ensure its not you actually bumping it... put a piece of electrical tape over the dial. If the problem continues, then it is in fact not you... time to start digging deeper.

I am not hitting the switch. The first time it happened I thought my wife must have hit it. Have been very careful since.

To my knowledge, the switch has no provision for moving by itself. No mechanical "turner" behind it like the knob shifter has for the "put it in park, dummy" thing. No motor. No way to change its position other than being turned by a human (or presumably an animal or an object dropped on it just right).

I believe that you're not hitting it, at least not on purpose, but somebody is.
