So, ive had my truck since last august and I love it. However, sometimes. more often than not, whenever i first start the truck and go to take off it doesnt want to. It jumps a little and sounds like its bogging down even though I am pressing on the gas the entire time and then all of a sudden, its like something catches and then it just takes off. Idk if this is the transmission or a fuel filter or something but I just thought id get a second opinion on this and see if there is anything I can do. Thanks!

I think it has to be something engine wise. I dont think its calipers cause when I press the gas it just doesnt go. Its not even acting like it wants to go it just gets bogged down so I dont think its calipers. But who knows.

Check the tps (throttle position sensor) and make sure your cats aren't clogged.

Cats may be clogged, sensor bad, or fuel filter clogged. That's all I can think of. If the engine boggs down I don't think it'd be calipers lol

Yeah I didnt think so lol It tends to only do it when it gets a little cold out. We got down to about 40 last night so idk if thats whats causing it. Im fine on oil and trans fluid so it may be ones of those that you said. I hope its just the cold weather maybe. lol

Truckless...
I agree, I would start with the full tune up and go from there. New filters on everything, plugs, etc. The next thing would be the transmission... it almost sounds like it isn't going into gear and then shifting hard into it.

now that there is a few more details out there... have you checked to see if there is any stored codes? just because the CEL isnt on doesnt mean there isnt a code. tune up would be a good idea in case of random misfires, but check your MAF as well.
running a factory Tstat?

As far as I know there are no codes on it. However, the last time I checked it was around december and that was for the same thing its doin now. I drove it today and it didnt do it at all so its a hit and miss. But I am for sure gonna do a tune up and just get everything up to date.
