I'm looking at getting new tires, I prefer M/Ts for the looks and dirt performance, but I'm hoping to see the country with a 26' airstream next. I'm running ironman 35x12.5r20s and think that I may need to graduate to F load ratings for safety, potential loads. and maybe get the air pressure dummy light to stop blinking.

Should I spend the $250 to get the F load rating tires, or are the E's adequate?

Thanks

For a 26’ airstream E should be plenty. I think the Toyo are 4000lb rating.

The Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.50R18 & R20 tires are a Load Range F spec.

I had the BFG KO2s and much prefer the Nittos.

Got a question for you. What's a "cummings"? It shows up in the title of this thread and your profile. Just curious... :D

Are you going to carry the entire weight of the trailer on the back of the truck? No, you're only adding the tongue to the pick-up. No need to go to F rated tires. An E load rated tire will be plenty.

Get alphaobd and change the TPMS thresholds. or you can get a set of 295/65/20 tires. They are a little bigger than 35x12.5x20 Same E rating but at higher PSI. Factory load rating is E for your truck so there is really no need to go to F.
