Like the title says I am looking for a 10" sub that is going to be reliable and will last me. I've just blown my 3rd pair of subs and am sick of dealing with them bc no matter how quiet or loud I have the volume on they blow out. I've gone through the kicker cvt's, cvr's, and jl w1's

I'm looking for something with a good amount of oomph too it but what I'm most interested in is quality.

Any help would be much appreciated bc I am very uneducated in this topic.

Are you sure your system is setup right? something cant be right if youve already blown three pairs. Ive got a cvr and have for over a year and not a problem yet and I blast it

It's been over a couple years, but they never seem to last more than a year

Pushing too much if it's blowing your subs. If your looking for new subs, I love my alpine type r's. They pound and you can't go wrong with the price

I have a brand new Type R 10 in the garage and an Alpine MRP-M500 amp as well. I bought them over a year ago and never installed them. $200 and you can have both.

I have two Rockford-Fosgate P3S 10s in mine and live them. Well, I actually haven't hooked them up in this truck yet, but loved them in my last one. lol They were the perfect sound in the cab with no noise outside.

I'm with the others that think there is something not set up right. I am by no means a stereo guru. But I have had the same pair of kicker 10" comps since 2003 been in 3 different vehicles all powered by my uncles 600 watt kenwood amp from the early 90's..I'm nostalgic and it honestly serves all my needs. It's probably significantly underpowered. lol

I think if you would like a good answer to this question, you need to figure out your problem with blowing subs. Subwoofers wear out but it takes them way more than a year to mechanically wear out if they are being powered correctly and probably the biggest reason subs blow is clipping of the head unit. I have been guilty of this many times but once I learned how to set up the amp to head unit my stereo sound 10x better and would last alot longer with no issues.

Convert, for now.

Two things kills subs...too much power or pushing past mechanical limits.

Anyone can kill a sub, it takes talent to make one last.

What are the specs of your system and how is it wired, i agree something doesn't sound right that you blew three sets now.

Well at first I started with a kicker zx500.1 for 2 10" cvts (those went out), then three cvts after that (these didn't blow out just got rid of em after we sold my hummer for the ram) then I went onto 2 12" cvr's (same amp) then those blew out, then I went to the 2 10" jl w1's and I was working well, but then some ******* stole that amp so I brought it into a shop and they recommended the massive audio nano n2 and I trusted their judgment but the jl's ended up blowing out
