Thank you. This is likely the direction I will go. It seems durable enough for what I do, convenient for when i need to carry tall stuff, overall good price.

If I could have bought a soft topper for a grand it would be on my truck already. With the exchange rate and shipping it wasn't in the cards. Love the idea and for me with 2 large dogs it would be ideal.

The stupid part is that soft topper is the only company (that I've found)that makes one for a 5.7" ram. Besttop make one for 8/6.4" ram. A 5.5" ford and lots of Tacoma's and even the new Colorado. Can't figure out why they aren't making a 5.7" for the ram since it has to be the most popular size now days.

This is exactly why i want a soft topper. Keeps the sun off and great ventilation for the kids.

Side note, not my dogs but I have the same breeds lol.

I used to have one of the Ez-Up Professional models it was certainly sturdy and lasted for years. I used it for many years then gave it to someone else to use. So, it may still be going strong. But, it was really heavy. I replaced it with a QuickShade that came apart the first time I used it. You can find a review on it by link
