Looking for replacement for 3.0

I have a 14 1500 with the factory 3.0. Looking to change to a head unit with ability to have back up camera and GPS... Also must be sat ready. . I'm not up on stereo gear at all... Last head unit I replaced was on my 90 5.0 mustang many many years ago. Those are my only requirements and as long as it sounds as good as the stock unit I'm fine.... Anyone have any recommendations... Best bang for my buck? Thanks for any help!

I just ordered a new head unit for my 2013 1500 with the RA2 I will list all the parts below. The ASWC-1 is to retain steering wheel controls. I will be receiving it tomorrow and have the install done saturday


Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS
Metra 95-6518B - Dash Kit
Axxess XSVI-6523-NAV - Wiring Harness
Axxess ASWC-1 - Steering wheel Controls
Metra 40-EU55 - antenna adaptor

Add XM and back up camera

SiriusXM SXV200V1 (SXV200 v1)

Anyone know if the 5.0 is a straight swap for the 3.0?

Following along as well. Also bought a 2014 1500 has the 3.0 std. Unit looking to upgrade as well. I jave been looking hard at "radio-upgrade" .com have a very nice touch sreen with gps that is a direct plig and play and looks factory. Not sure about back up camera for that unit but on my truck it is alread installed in the rear view mirror!

I'm also looking at upgrading from the 3.0. I was looking at that same unit and found that the only posting on forums were from the seller. That alone makes me suspicious of the quality and what kind of support I would get after purchase. There really aren't any user reviews.

That guy came on here pretending to have nothing to do with the company and raved about how great the stereo unit was. He made some careless mistakes though and it was pretty easy to call him out and prove otherwise, which is what happened. Eventually he came clean and admitted he was associated with the company. It was pretty funny stuff. I wouldn't trust any reviews on that radio. They are probably all bogus.

If you're going to replace your HU either go full aftermarket or a stock replacement. I've read many reviews on other companies that make stock looking radio such a Rosen but they are way to over priced when you can get the same stuff aftermarket. I just got my head unit and finished soldering the wires. I will have it installed tomorrow and I will post pics.
