Gotta question about the map sensor on my 5.7 Hemi, just purchased in November a 1 owner "LOW" milage (64,000 miles at the time of purchase) 2003 Ram 2500 . I love this truck, but noticed she was a little sluggish on acceleration and fuel consumption is bad (doesn't help having 4:10 gears in it) so I did a little internet investigation and alot of folks said about cleaning throttle body - which I did, and changed the IAC sensor, and MAP sensor. I found out I guess Chrysler made a change to the MAP sensor and some engines you have to "modify" the intake manifold to get new sensor installed - which I also did, I noticed that the new sensor seems a little" looser" than the original.......is this going to be a problem as far as causing a vacuum leak? I noticed the old girl has a little more pep in her step, I did all this here recently , I "Heard" , after doing any kind of sensor replacement it "could" maybe take a few days to see any beneficial results I guess due to the computers more or less "Relearning" and updating themselves? Sorry so long an explanation, thanks for your time and help.
