Still have stock light on my 2016 1500, the fog lights wobble very noticeably on bumpy roads. Ive looked at the housing and its just plastic wear, poor specs etc... Has anyone else encountered this and did you find a fix?

I have the same issue on one of mine also. Search on here. I don’t remember where I saw it but there is a video and basically the fix was to take off the housing and where the nipple of the lens goes into the housing, it wears the circle open which causes the wiggle and clunk sound. The fix was to take a small zip tie and run it through the hole of the warn side up through the hole and next to the nipple to tighten the gap. Similar to putting tape around a ring that might be a little loose on your finger. I think it said there are 3 bolts holding the housing 10mm. I’m just waiting to get some decent weather so I can get under and do it to mine.

Had the same problem. I got under the front bumper and saw that under each fog there is plastic wing that you can tighten. I just cranked it until there wasn't any give. It raised the spot, so it seems to me like the wing is so that you can aim the light. It is a short term fix, but I rarely use the fogs anyways. Hope this helps

They jiggle extra nice like along with the whole plastic fascia on my 2017 Ram 1500 express. Energy isolation feature maybe? LOL

I noticed on mine that there are small springs attached to the back side of the housing. I assumed it was meant to reduce stress on them since they are in a plastic housing. Doesn't seem to have any worn areas.

My dealer replaced both of my driving lights on my 2016 CC under the factory warranty due to the wobble. If you still have coverage you might want to talk to them.

Hi STORMTROOPER01,
We understand why this may be frustrating. If you decide to have your dealer address this, please send our team a private message and we would be happy to add an additional layer of assistance to this process!

Permanent fix for your loose fog lamps. If you buy new, it will just happen again. Purchase four 1/2"×5/8" rubber grommets. Drill current 1/2" holes in fog light housing mounting bracket into 5/8" holes. Insert grommets into holes and reinstall fog light housing starting with the bracket side with two holes. The grommets will act as a dampener t ok breduce vibration while also protecting the plastic from additional wear. Takes less than an hour and while your in there anyway replace the stock 9006 with a set of 6000k led 9006 bulbs.

New OEM fog lights have been redesigned so that it does happen with them anymore.... I just replaced mine. Here’s a link to some pictures I posted:https://www.ramforum.com/threads/fog-lights-not-stable.139746/page-2#post-2133468

2016 here, I did the same thing and it fixed the issue. It's for alignment I think, it may have pointed them up some, but it worked for me and they don't jiggle over bumps anymore.
