I have a new problem for me. It has only happened twice and both times at a steady speed, no bumps, no acceleration, no turns, one time at 75mph, the other at 40mph, but a loud clunk in what sounds like the driver side rear of my truck. Both times I heard it, I thought I had run over a block of wood or something, but there was no sign of anything in the road behind me or damage to the truck. I have not found a way to replicate it. Wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and if they figured out what it is. I don't want to put a lot of time or money into it until it becomes a consistent problem, unless someone else knows what it is and thinks I should get it fixed immediately.

Shock mounts/bushings would be my first guess, and look at all suspension bushings down there. Could be loose, rubber could be worn, if so replace with poly. Try moving truck up and down while park? Maybe even have a friend join you be aggressive. Something like this should never be a high cost item, just a pita to locate sometimes.

If you start to get symptoms along with the noise, then you start looking at wheel bearings and such, but I think you are long away from worry about that. But, just for the info, when was the last time you did brakes and bearings?

I'd think if it was suspension, brakes or body mounts it would happen a lot more than just twice.
A loud clunk might be expansion/contraction of the plastic gas tank maybe?
Think giant soda bottle when the plastic pops back into shape.
I'm taking a wild guess here but noises can have weird causes.
