I have ridge graps on mine, but I have several reports from trusted sources that the recons are better riding, less loud and last a little longer the the ridges

Report back in a while, I'm interested to know how those Recons do.

Recons lasted 3yrs and ~52K miles, uneven wear, cupping, bad vibrations. Nitto doesn't do anything about it, even though it's within their 55K mile warranty.

Changed rims and tires (not Nitto) a few days ago. Very frustrating to say the least.

Thanks for the follow up. That's disappointing, sorry you had to find out the hard way.

Thanks for your report. I’m starting to think about new tires and your experience really helps.

It’s been my experience that “uneven wear” and “cupping” is due to vehicle suspension, lack of balance-maintenance, and alignment issues rather than tire construction or design. This makes it difficult to obtain warranty-coverage from the tire mfr’r.

I don't expect people to listen to my drawn-out videos, but I did explain everything there.

I know with tires it's an iffy warranty/coverage, just like with any insurance. But there was nothing from the tiremaker, no questions, no verifications, no interest in my side at all. And me being a user of their products exclusively for 14yrs also meant nothing. The Ram is well taken care off, with most of the work done by my Dodge dealer. Also got several alignments done during the course of ownership (since 2018).

It's just disappointing that the tire dealer, who is not at fault at all, does more for the customer than the tire manufacturer.

So, if my customership and money doesn't mean anything to the Japanese, I'll take my happy @$$ somewhere else.
