Low beam shutter doesn't work after projector swap

What's the difference in the premium bulbs? Longer life?

That kit comes with the premium/ultra bulbs, supposed to be brighter.

Gotcha. I'm impressed with the output of mine, but have never had projectors or HIDs before. All I know is I like em!

I have a question regarding the high & low beam function with the projectors. I installed OEM projectors in my 2012 and they work great with one exception: the low beams cut off when the high beams are switched on. I can hear the solenoid working fine inside the projectors. How can I get the low beams to stay on with the high beams so I can actually take advantage of the brighter output from the projectors? The led high beams by themselves are garbage without the low beams.

I’ve read some stuff online regarding a switch that will keep the low beams on, but most of the articles and posts I’ve read are for earlier model Rams (00-03) and most of them required splicing some wires together under the dash.

Is this a wiring-required type of job, or is it simple fix with alphaOBD? I greatly appreciate any assistance.

The AlfaOBD will fix this. The reason you can hear the shutter solenoid is because the conversion harness jumpers the high beam circuit to the solenoid circuit, but the harness can’t compensate for the fact that the low beam circuit is shutoff by the TIPM when the highs beam circuit is being used. Only programming can change that.
