i am curious ive seen a few pictures of lifted 2wd trucks, and noticed the bottom a arm has some angle on the lifted trucks, while my stock 1500 lower a arms are almost sitting level, has any one on here just used the spings off a different dodge ram such as a 3500 or a 4x4 truck, or even off of a 2nd gen 4x4 truck? pictures would be awsome if anyone has any

a friend of mine went with the 3 inch lift kit from rough country, which is just the springs and the shocks and the lift blocks in the rear. his lower control arms are at a bad angle and he cant stand it. so he is upgrading to the kit that i got, the 6inch lift kit, since it has a lower control arm drop bracket and allows my control arms to sit level like the factory suspension.

we both have 2wd trucks

dont know if that helps, but i would assume the 2500 and 3500 has taller springs, which can be related to the rough country shocks that we got... hope this helps!

here is a picture of something extream im talking about. its a chevy "donk" and it has extream a arm angle, with what looks like a homemade lift kit from some company that should be ashamed of their work. this picture is from another forum, the customer complained that when he turned his wheels leaned in

a company did a repair on it, im guessing building a new lift. here is the picture of the front end, i still think way too much angle for the a arms, the lower a arms are better than what they were, it looks horrible for the ball joints to me. this is why i was curious on just adding bigger springs and shocks, kind of a way to level the truck better vs to coil spacers

well one thing to keep in mind is from the looks of it.. almost all of those pictures were on lifts so the actual angle versed the angle on a lift is completely different. any suspension will do that since that is how it is supposed to travel

once the weight is added... itll be like a quarter of what you see there or even none that's exactly what my truck did while i was installing the lift before it was done and dropped the truck on the ground again.
