Limited Slip Diff questions

So I bought a BNIB OEM LSD with a new Yukon master install kit for 300 shipped. After all it is actually a Dana Spicer LSD but yet new. Did I go wrong? did I pay too much? Is this diff good? Keep in mind I have an open diff right now and plan to do the 4.56 swap. Thanks in advance.

From what I can tell its good. If it came with those 4.56's though I'd say you got a helluva deal. But diff plus install kit 300 bucks is good.

Yea it was just the diff and install kit. Basically im worried about the dreaded C clip issues i've read about. But im not sure if that is a problem with open diffs, lsd's or both?

Many guys with the stock LSD have just removed the c clips and haven't had any issues since. You should be fine.

I've been running stock LSD since 05 and never had an issue and that includes the C-clips.

Has anyone used the Dana Spicer Trak loc or heard any pros or cons with them. I have searched but not much on the review aspect. I just want to make sure its quality before installing it. I also want to do it myself as long as I don't have to adjust the backlash or anything crazy. If so I will wait till I have the gears installed.

So what are you saying? You get what you pay for? Or it may start a debate? No offense but I didn't understand what you meant plus I'm not a gear guy lol. That part that sucks the most is when I bought it I was told it was oem not oe.
