On the advice of a friend I put Lucas Deep Cleaner (for gasoline engines) in my tank.
It looks like it is primarily (only listed ingredient) naphtha.

Should I not worry about it or drain my tank?

I have not driven the truck since I put it in the tank.

Thanks in advance and yes I will pay closer attention in the future!

I'm in the camp of "you'll be fine" but do you have a link to exactly which product you used? I'm guessing your concerned about your diesel engine having a product for a gasoline engine in it?

Yes, I'm concerned that is isn't for diesel but it also doesn't say not to use in a diesel...
I reached out to Lucas but they are slow in responding, so far they just asked how much product in how many gallons of fuel.

Edited for spelling

Yeh, I don't know now ... my bad, for some reason I thought you were inquiring for use in an v-6 gas engine.

Lucas has a deep cleaning product for diesel, but I'm not so sure I'd use any fuel cleaners in any newer diesel engines ...

Looking at this (unless I'm doing it wrong), they appear to use the same product with a different color and fluid color for the diesel engine?

Good thing is if worried about how the diesel will burn it, just know diesels (By their nature) can burn basically any fuel that will combust and Naptha itself shoudn't hurt it at all - It's combustible too.
The fuel system itself is another matter but it will probrably be OK too - Esp since we're talking only one dose of it here and the same stuff is in the diesel version of it .

Forget fuel and oil additives. Waste of money. Snake oil.

I used to think they were all snake oil until I tried this stuff years ago. Between my first experience, many years ago and trying it to reduce the throttle delay on my Ram truck, I'm convinced.

I use a 15-oz jug of this stuff, once per year, as a SOP to clean things out. I had started this process years before this thread was created, based on prior experience with my previous truck.

My a$$ dyno reads a large improvement with takeoff performance every time.
The reduction in the delayed throttle response is very apparent.

I run the tank down to 2 or 3 gallons, dump in a bottle, run that down to fumes, add a few gallons of Premium fuel, run that down low, add another few gallons, run that down, then fill the tank and change the oil.

The thread linked contains enough evidence to warrant a test run, AFAIC.
RL SI-1 contains the highest concentration of PEA, which is the substance that produces results, AFAIK.

Your mileage may vary.

Agreed, Seafoam works great too. I use it in my 2-stroke engines, riding mowers and gas vehicles. You might not notice improvement if used regularly, but if you've ever done the smoke show on an older engine you will notice immediate improvement.
