So I did my brakes last week, and they work great. But since doing them, two of my lug studs have broke off on the same wheel. What could be causing them to do this? Also, that side of the truck has been making some weird squeaking noise, coming from the wheel, since the brake replacement.

Any idea what the noise could be from though?

I don't believe so. It doesn't make the noise when braking, just went driving 20+ mpg. Could it maybe be the broken stud grinding against the wheel?

No if the wheels is on correctly the wheel and stud will not move against each other.

If you can't feel any resistance from a dragging brake, check them after a drive to see if one is hotter than the others.

Check the brakes temperture, or check the lug studs?

Brakes.
If one is dragging, it will be hotter than the others.

Take the caliper back off and clean it really to make sure the piston isn't seizing. Also, check the torque on all of your studs. I also recommend using anti-seize on everything.

20+ mpg with a 5.9...? I have dealt with this stud problem before... they were most liking torque too tight too many times and you finished them off and they snapped. Throw some new studs in and just get them tight as possible by hand with the small black tire iron that comes with the trucks
