So I have this new in the box M1 single plane 4BBL manifold in a box under my welding bench in my garage. It does not have the fuel injector holes in it. I suppose it can be machined.
Is it worth doing? Is it worth putting on my truck?
Had it for a few years now and just remembered it was there.

It was a mistake purchase. Wanted a airgap dual plane to put a carb on a Magnum 360 we put in dads 66 Coronet.
It came instead. We kept it and purchased another manifold.

Depends how much you plan on building your motor. The injector bosses can be machined in yes but the 4bbl does flow quite a bit more than even the regular 2bbl efi. The 2bbl efi does lose you a decent amount of low end tq on an ornate stock motor BUT i will never go back. I lost low end tq from the m1, my straight through muffler, and lost more power through going to bigger tires. The sct m1 tune from Ryan have a little nap and the shorty headers have the rest if not slightly more back. It's very noticeable. The M1 is still my favorite purchase for this truck by far though. Soon as it hits 3k it just roars. Makes a show truck feel fast and interstate on-ramps have a new level of fun that i didn't know before.

Well, as it is now it smokes on start up and has a low knock. But it has pretty ok power. Enough to like it. So I'll run it till it blows. Or it gets real bad anyway. I do have a spare used engine out of a 94 in the garage.
If I had any money I'd stroke it.
Maybe that's what I should do. Stroke the 94 to 396. Do up the heads. Toss in a $1000 cam. Lol. Sorry, I had too. Some headers, the M1, whatever else....
Be a couple years in the making but if the 01 lasts that long.

Keep wondering if the 94 TB is better than my 01.
TPS is pooched on the 01. Some mornings it just won't idle.

It's cold. Time to swap the T Stat. Bought a Stant 192. This weekend I'll swap it out.

I wouldn't put it on then. Would hurt you more than help you. Personally I'd hold onto it though in case you ever build or find someone willing to give you a decent amount for it

Perfect. It goes up on a shelf instead of under the welding table.
Thanks.
